Liquorice comes from the juice of the roots of the plant Glycyrrhiza Glabra. Today, it primarily grows in an area from North Africa, across the middle east and to China. The history of the popular herb or supplement can be dated back to around 2300 BC.
Liquorice root is considered to be one of the world’s
oldest herbal remedies and has long also been used as medicine, drinks, food,
etc. As years went by the herb, I especially used for taste to liquorice wine
gum along with providing flavor to a high different variety of drinks. The
popularity of the black wine gum is highest in the Northern countries such as
Finland, Iceland, Germany, the Scandinavian countries and the Netherlands.
